VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (for ages 5-12):
We take very seriously the injunction to ...Let the little children come…to Jesus. And so we feel blessed and privileged to be able to invest in this ministry to children 5-12 years old. This summer program runs in August and includes stories, music, games, crafts and more. For more info call 416-757-5266.

Sunday School:
Sunday School is important because it is a major resource that is in accordance with the Bible’s repeated importance of training our children – from the examples of Adam to Jesus Christ Himself. Children learn much more easily than adults and we generally remember more of what we learned as children. (How many of you remember all those Bible stories and verses you learned as a child?) As well children are able to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and a life reached early for Christ is a life with fewer wasted years, a life that brings glory to God for many more years.

Our Sunday School includes infants, toddlers, new high school students, and all ages in between. Sunday School meets during the morning service. Students are registered in their classes so we can effectively care for them and communicate with their home.

Typically:
Parents/guardians directly take their children to the Nursery (for birth to age 2) and Beginners for ages 2 and 3. From September through June Children in Kindergarten-Grade 6 begin worship in the sanctuary and then are dismissed to their classrooms. Youth in Grades 7-10 mostly go directly to their class.

Summer Sunday School
During the months of July and August, we offer a One-Room Summer Sunday School. It is offered to children ages 4 to 12. Nursery and Beginners continue on as usual.

Participation in Worship:
In addition to being in class, our children and youth are involved in worship in many ways throughout the year – Youth services on 5th Sundays, in Advent, on Palm Sunday, on Mother’s Day & Father’s Day and our Christmas Pageant in December.

Other Fun Events
Departments or classes hold social events throughout the year such as bowling, hiking, tobogganing – whatever provides good, clean fun and relationship building between students and teachers.

destiny kidz is a free Ministry of Wilmar with the objective of helping children S.E.E. their destiny.

(S.E.E. is an acronym for Spirituality, Education, and Entertainment).

Spirituality: We believe in developing our children to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through a regular habit of prayer, daily Bible reading/Bible teachings, sharing their faith, serving in the Church and local community, and participating in Christian worship.

Education: We provide the children with life skills training through arts, mentoring, tutorials, and field trips.

Entertainment: Not only do we believe that a child should develop spirituality but also physically. We accomplish this by promoting fun and fitness through sports, music, drama, dancing, and crafts.

Destiny’s Kidz is for any child between the ages of 6 - 12 years old. We meets every Wednesday at the church from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm during the school year.

camp imani
Through the leadership of Pastor Tai, Camp Imani Day Camp opened its door for the first time to children and family in our community and in the church in the summer of 2005. It began with a vision to instill Faith into the lives of our children in four different areas.

The name
Imani means Faith in Swahili.

First
: We endeavour to build Faith in God in our campers by sharing the gospel and love of Christ with them.

Second: Teach them to have Faith in their Parents as they are God’s covering over them.

Third: Endeavour to build the campers up by teaching them to have Faith in Themselves through the various field and indoor activities they participated in.

Fourth: our goal is to challenge campers to have Faith in the System by bringing in speakers who are successful community leaders and positive role models.

A day of camp consists of group games, singing, talent shows, theme dress up days, Bible study and field trips to places such as Wild Water Kingdom, Ontario Science Center and Ontario Place. At the end of each 2 week camp session, parents were invited to the camp’s closing session where the gospel is presented.

The vision for Youth 4 Truth (Y4T) was to allow Wilmar Heights Youth to have an outlet through music and worship ... (more info)
