We are pleased to inform you that Wilmar Heights Baptist Church is now permitted to have in-person church services as per the Provincial Government announcement, with specific reference to places of worship as part of the 2nd phase of the provincial re-opening plan following the COVID-19 province-wide shutdown in March.

Please take note of the following update to the temporary measures we are continuing to take for our church to be of service to you as members of our church family, during this difficult time.

Every Sunday at 9:00 am until further notice.

Unfortunately, due to the limitation placed by the Provincial Government on gatherings for places of worship to a maximum of 30% of capacity and their health and safety protocols, during the initial stages, we regrettably have to encourage you to adhere to the following recommendations for everyone's safety and well-being.

  • The 30% capacity limit, and the 6 feet physical distancing rule restricts our attendance per service to 66 people (42 in the sanctuary and 24 overflow in the Gym).

  • We suggest that you register for the service of your preference providing the number of members of your household who will be attending, via email to or by calling the church office directly at (416) 757-5266. Please register as soon as possible as it will be on a first come first serve basis. Registration serves a dual purpose. First, to control the number of people attending service and second, for contact tracing if ever it becomes necessary. At this time, we would like for registered attendees to not change their designated times and we also do not encourage walk-ins as we will lose track of the people attending each service.

  • Due to logistical and safety concerns, the Nursery and Sunday School are temporarily suspended.

  • Parents with children under 4 years of age are advised to make arrangements to keep them at home and watch the service by livestream or listen by teleconference or have someone take care of them if you wish to attend in person.

  • Parents with children 4 years of age and older, if attending service in person, are advised to keep their children under their supervision and control before, during and after the service.

  • Senior Citizens (65 and over) and those having underlying / pre-existing health conditions are advised to stay home and follow the service by livestream or by teleconference. This is only because you fall under the most vulnerable category and thus to safeguard your health.

Sunday Morning Service will continue to be livestreamed on-line at 9:00 am on:

  1.           - Wilmar Heights Baptist Church

  2.           - Skype Teleconferencing. To join, please dial (647) 497-9391 and follow the instructions. Your access code is 755-073-141 followed by the # key.

The church has contracted professional cleaners for deep cleaning and sanitization of the sanctuary, gym and all common areas before and between services. There will be hand sanitizing stations at all points of entry and exit. There will be signage posted to remind you of physical distancing, COVID-19 symptoms, and personal precautions with regard to hygiene to help contain the spread of the virus.

We will also have directional signs and ushers helping with the flow of attendees through the various areas of the church in order to promote physical distancing and to avoid cross-traffic.

For your part, please observe the following directions that we consider to be in the best interest of everyone to avoid communal transmission of the virus:

  • Keep the designated 2 metre / 6 feet physical distance when interacting with anyone outside of your household, whether inside the church building or in the parking lot.

  • Wear a face covering or face mask that covers both your nose and mouth. It is for your own protection and also, most importantly, for that of those around you to prevent any unwitting transmission of the virus. We have made face masks available to those needing them.

  • Follow directions with regard to points of entry and exit.

  • Please DO NOT congregate and socialize even though you haven't seen each other in a long time.

  • At the end of service, the pastor or another designate person will direct you as to the order of exiting the sanctuary or gym. Please exit while exercising safe physical distancing.

  • Where possible, avoid touching common surfaces.

  • The common washrooms will be restricted to 2 persons at a time for men and 1 person at a time for women. Hand sanitizers will be made available by the doors and it is recommended that you use them before entering the washroom.

  • Please wash your hands thoroughly with soap before exiting the washroom.

  • If you or any members of your household have any of the COVID-19 symptoms detailed below, please do not attend church, but follow the service online or by teleconference.
